Miss Ashlee

I have lived in the Gunnison Valley since 2004, and worked at a few different childcare centers. I love how Little Red promotes life long learning! I graduated from Western State College with degrees in Art and Psychology. I hope to incorporate my knowledge in these fields to make everyday special at Teeny Red. I really love working with toddlers because you can see them learning and growing right before your eyes!

Miss Bonnie

As a resident for the past 25 years in Gunnison Valley, I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with so many children! I love teaching about our valley and all the wonderful things this world has to offer. I have worked at Little Red Schoolhouse off and on for 3 years. I love being here! Little Red offers an education for preschoolers that is exceptional.

Miss Reed

This past spring I graduated from St. Lawrence University (in northern New York) with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Outdoor Studies. After graduation I was seeking a new adventure, which is what brought me from Maine to Crested Butte. Before I moved here at the beginning of the New Year, I taught English at a residential summer school, did some substitute teaching, and coached a Middle School Nordic ski team. I have found all of my experiences within education to be extremely rewarding and I am thrilled to be working at Teeny Red. One of my favorite things about working with this age group is that I get to help the kids explore and experience the world around them-they are making new discoveries every day! When I’m not working at Teeny Red, I spend my time up at the Mountain, at the Nordic Center, running, and exploring the wonderful town of Crested Butte!

Miss Sarin

I came to the Gunnison area in 2005 to pursue a BA degree in Elementary Education at Western State College of Colorado. While attending school I guided for Wilderness Pursuits, volunteered for the Nuturing Parenting Program, ski instructed, and helped direct other afterschool and summer youth programs. My senior year I interned at the Gunnison Elementary School in 5th grade. With my unique background I looked for a school that offered outdoor experiences, hands-on learning and small class sizes. I am thrilled to be a part of the Little Red Schoolhouse team!

I’ve been at Little Red for more than 3 years. I look forward to work every day because of the positive energy in the school! It is so fun to see the children explore through art and circle time! It is amazing to watch the children progress from a seed to a flower!

Miss Ashleigh

I have been working at Little Red for over 3 years!  I adore working at Little Red because of the hands on curriculum and activities push the children to new heights and shows just how much a child can learn. My background in Science makes every science lesson explosive! I am amazed everyday at just how much we can make a difference; like our science lessons, everyday is a new experiment.

I am so excited to be teaching at the Little Red Schoolhouse ! I completed a degree in English and Speech Communications from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2006; Soon after I found my calling in early childhood education. I have recently relocated to Crested Butte from Telluride where I taught a pre-k program. I look forward to knowing, loving,and educating my students at LRSH.
